Walk our 5,000 sq ft slab wall. Leave with a kitchen, not a guess.

Family-run Hamilton showroom. Lela and Tanja design your space, cut your quartz or granite, and install it — all from one shop. No third-party stone yard. No one to blame if the veining isn't what you pictured, because it's the slab you picked yourself.

The Slab Wall

A chip is a guess. A slab is a decision.

Most showrooms hand you a 3-inch chip and ask you to imagine 60 square feet of counter. We don't. Our 5,000 sq ft showroom on Hempstead Drive holds full slabs of quartz and granite on vertical racks — walk past them, turn on the overhead lights, see where the veining actually runs.

That's the slab we cut. No substitutions on install day, no "oh, this batch came in a little different." What you pick is what lands in your kitchen.

Scroll down to walk the wall. Each piece is tagged with the stone name and where it's quarried.

What We Build

One shop for the whole kitchen.

Design, stone, cabinets, and install under one roof — so nothing falls between contractors. Your countertop templater is the same team that sketched your layout and will set your cabinets.

Meet the Shop

A family-run showroom, not a franchise.

Lela founded Ontario Stone Design Center fifteen years ago on a simple belief: homeowners deserve premium materials, expert craftsmanship, and a renovation that feels organized and stress-free — not a relay race between four contractors.

Tanja runs the design side. She'll sit with you in the showroom, pull the slabs you're drawn to, and put your kitchen in 3D before a single cabinet is ordered. When you text Lela about a template date, Lela picks up.

Why One Shop

Everything comes out of the same bay.

Most Hamilton homeowners juggle a designer, a cabinet guy, a stone fabricator, and an installer — four separate calendars and four separate people to blame if something's off by a quarter inch.

We compress that to one. Design is drawn by Tanja. Stone is templated and fabricated in our own shop. Cabinets are set by our install crew. When the counter lands on the cabinets, the two trades already worked together — they're the same trade.

Reviews that name Lela and Tanja by name — because the team that designed your kitchen is the team that built it.

How We Build

Four steps from chip to kitchen.

No surprise invoices, no surprise subs on your driveway. Every step is done by the same team, on a timeline you can plan your life around.

01
Week 1

Visit the showroom

Come walk the slab wall with Lela or Tanja. Bring your measurements, a cabinet door, a paint chip. We'll short-list three stones you'd actually live with.

02
Week 1–2

Pick your slab

When you've chosen, we tag the exact slab with your name. It's off the floor and held for your job — not the next customer's.

Week 2–3

See your kitchen in 3D

Tanja builds your layout in our 3D tool — cabinets, island, counter, backsplash. You walk the virtual kitchen before we cut a single piece.

04
Week 3–4

Template, cut, install

We template on-site, fabricate in our own shop, and install in a single day. Same crew every time. Same phone number if something's off.

Common Questions

Before you drive out.

Most of what homeowners want to know before they book a showroom visit. If your question isn't here, Lela answers her own phone: (905) 296-8799.

Do I really need to come to the showroom?
Yes — that's the whole point. We encourage every homeowner to visit our Hamilton showroom to see full slabs in person. A chip or an online swatch can't show you how the veining moves across five feet of counter. Seeing the whole slab helps you pick the color, movement, and finish you'll actually live with.
What do quartz and granite countertops cost in Hamilton?
Cost depends on the material, design, and project size. We provide free measurements and a detailed quote so you know exactly what to expect before moving forward — no deposit required to see numbers.
Quartz or granite — which is right for me?
Quartz is low-maintenance and non-porous, which makes it ideal for busy kitchens. Granite is natural stone with unique patterns and strong heat resistance. The best choice depends on your style and how you actually cook. Tanja will walk you through the trade-offs with your slabs in front of you.
How long does the whole process take?
Once fabrication is complete, most countertop installations finish in a single day. The full process — templating, fabrication, and install — usually takes one to two weeks depending on slab availability. Cabinets add another week or two depending on prefab vs. custom.
Will new counters actually add resale value?
Yes. Quartz and granite are among the most desirable kitchen upgrades in Hamilton's competitive market. Full-slab counters with matching backsplash read as a real kitchen renovation, not a cosmetic refresh.
What warranty do you offer?
Select products come with a lifetime warranty; others are backed by 5-year or 10-year warranties depending on the application and manufacturer. No matter the coverage, every install is completed to the same standard and supported by the same team that built it.
